Ideal for a large group of at least 12 members is the Ball Toss. Let the kids form a circle and start the game with one ball. The first kid to hold the ball throws it to the person right across from him. The receiver then hurls the ball to the kid standing on the left of the starter. Participants follow this throwing pattern until everyone has held the ball. Then another ball is given for them to throw. If they are able to throw and receive two balls without trouble, add a third ball. Add more balls and watch them scream and scramble!
A livelier version of musical chairs is I Need a Chair! From the start, there will be one chair less than the number of players. Each participant holds a number. The chair-less participant stands in the middle and calls out two numbers. The ones holding those numbers will then run and switch seats, and battle against the chair-less kid who is just as bent on grabbing a seat.
